bardsley: A man made out of books. (Arcimboldo: "The Librarian")
This book is the third in the Big Bad Wolf series. (My thoughts on other books in the series are available here.)  I did not care for the plot of this book because I did not find the mystery compelling. However, I genuinely like the way the two lovers in this romance respect each other. They are careful about consent and that leads to some kinky but loving sex.

Erik Bloomquist narrates this series. He is not my favorite narrator.

Length: 241 pages | 8 hours 59 minutes
bardsley: A woman browsing books for sale. (Read or Die: Agent Paper)
This m/m fantasy romance is set in the Edwardian era. It features a beautifully well-developed magic system and a world so well-built that it does not feel built, but lived-in. The lovers are the non-magical Robin and the barely magical Edwin. The plot of the book is truly engaging. This is one of best books that I have read this year.

David Thorpe puts effort into matching narration to the text it describes to good effect.

Length: 377 pages | 14 hours 30 minutes
